I couldn't find a production wilderness blade that met all of my requirements, so knifesmith Bob Dozier made me one. The result is more than I knew to ask for.
This blade is outstanding for both defensive and utility tasks. It fits my hand perfectly, accepts heavy use with grace, and seems to hold an edge forever. I call this the Texas Six because it is a variation on Bob Dozier's #6 model extended to the Texas length limit. I carry it whenever I am away from civilization.
