Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Some people are put off by the title. Others have unfortunate memories of the 1992 movie. Ignore all of that, watch the show a few times, and form your own opinions.

We think that Buffy was one of the best shows ever to appear on television. It was brilliantly written and performed by an excellent cast. This show is for adults and not primarily for teenagers. It can be funny, scary, sad, and moving, sometimes all in the same scene. Throw away whatever preconceptions you have and enjoy.


The Best of Buffy

When TV Guide rated episodes of Buffy they pointed out that even the worst of them were actually pretty good. That makes it hard to choose the outstanding from the great or merely good. With a self-imposed limit of four per season the following are Bob's favorites. The episodes marked with a <> are the best of the best.

Note that these were not chosen for their contributions to the story arc, but simply for their value as individual episodes. And, of course, everyone will have their own favorites…
