This is an outdoor knife in civilized areas. The guards are quite functional and also act as "flippers" for fast deployment. The clip-point provides a fair amount of belly and a narrow point. Despite its size I forget the Maxx is there when I carry it clipped to my pocket.
Dirk Pinkerton drilled and tapped the handle so the clip can be reversed.
